I'm trying to clear the offline files cache for a user. When I've read through instructions such as this technet post, they always mention taking ownership of the CSC folder but never explain resetting it to the previous settings.

Two questions:

- Do I need to disable Offline Files before doing this?
- Will it hurt to keep the user as the owner of the folder? Will this break some functions later on? Or can I just leave the user as the owner after taking ownership and clearing the folder?
